As I work to continuously improve and refine this Pressbook, I can’t help but think of the people in my teaching career who have given me the support and encouragement to put together a resource like this. I don’t think I ever would have had the courage to teach my first college class without the guidance and support of my teaching role model, Prof. Fred King. Also, I know I never would have undertaken a project like this Pressbook without the encouragement of Julie Moser, EdD. Both of these people continue to inspire me through their work and their ability to bring out the best in each day and each student. I am eternally grateful to you both for your mentoring and your friendship.

Also, I’d like to express my appreciation for all of the students with whom I’ve had the privilege to work over the years. You’ve each given me the opportunity to do what brings me the greatest joy in my career – TEACH!
